Trial Information

The Regional Committee is running the Trials as per below.

1. All categories will trial separately if there are enough teams in the category.

2. Players enter as a 4 Player team.

3. IMP Teams scoring will apply.

4. The format will be finalised once the numbers are known. Be prepared to play for up to two days.

Selection

5. The winning team in each category will be selected to represent the CD Region.

6. If there is only one team registered in a category, that team is deemed to be selected.

7. If there are no teams entered in a category, then selection of the team will be made by the CD Regional Committee.

8. Selected teams may request the addition of a third pair to their team. Normally, the third pair would have trialled in the relevant category. (Note that if a third pair is selected, the team subsidy of $635 will be shared among the six players.)

9. The third pair (if requested) will be selected by the CD Regional Committee based on datums in consultation with the winning team.  The CD Regional Committee will have the final decision on team composition.

Post-Trial Information

10. In the event of a pair or individual player withdrawing subsequent to selection, then the CD Regional Committee will appoint a replacement pair or player. In the event of a pair withdrawing, the CD Regional Committee will normally appoint another pair who had trialled in the respective category. If that is not possible, the CD Regional Committee will select a replacement pair. In the event of an individual player withdrawing, the CD Regional Committee will consult with the remaining player and their teammates; the replacement player need not have participated in the trial event.

11. The CD Regional Committee will appoint a Chef de Mission for the Regional Championships. A travel/accommodation subsidy of $158 will be available for the Chef de Mission.
